I love searching out adornments from around the world. I study centuries old techniques still being employed by the Masai of kenya, Chinese village goldsmiths, Tibetan nomads and Aboriginal carvers. I combine some of these traditional ways of fashioning jewelry with techniques of my own invention. As our world is becoming increasingly mechanized, the old ways are disappearing. The Imagine series is my way of helping to keep hand craftsmanship alive and to echo the hope of John Lennon in his great song, Imagine. " Imagine all the people, Living life in peace, No need for greed or hunger, A brotherhood of man." Most of my beads come with a generous hole to allow them to slip onto heavy chains and many of them slip onto my custom bracelets in the blank series which takes a 1/4 inch hole or bigger. The hole size of each silver and anodized colored metal bead is given on the ordering page. The rings are a way I can showcase a bead of any color and most all of my beads can be riveted onto a shank of your size. |
